Having immersed myself in Aravi’s “Chronicles of the Clan,’’ I find myself grappling with a number of issues: the boundless cyclical repetitions of birth and death; the dark, swirling pools of the past that enfold experiences in captivity; the karmic continuity of generational connections that bind you in its tentacles; and, most importantly, the torrential flow of the life force that defies the highs and lows of beginnings and endings.
